The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs is in the process of revising the National Youth Policy (NYP) 2012-2017 and as such will host a Public Consultation on Tuesday 20th February, 2018 at the North Eastern Regional Multi-Purpose Sport Facility located on Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande.
The NYP will detail the plans of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for youth development and provide guidance for the Government’s voice in all youth development related matters. One of the main aims of this consultation is to facilitate and engage stakeholders in a bid to obtain their input regarding key areas of the NYP which include policy content, objective achievement and stakeholder requirements, to guide and inform the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs’ policy revision exercise.
Following this, a series of subsequent consultations will be held during the upcoming months in venues across Trinidad and Tobago as we aim for maximum involvement from our stakeholders.
The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs continues to strive to remain a dynamic, customer-oriented and policy driven organization which brings all stakeholders together to promote youth development. To this end, we look forward to partnering with the general public, more importantly the nation’s youths as we aim to provide a place, a purpose and a plan for every youth in Trinidad and Tobago.
